Retail markup has to cover wholesale cost, shipping, packaging, shrink, returns, labor, rent, payment fees, and markdowns. A simple keystone markup may be too low if inventory turns slowly or returns are common.
Estimate landed product cost first, then allocate monthly overhead across expected unit sales. Use the calculator to test whether the final price supports the target net margin.
